Due to the economy, high hay prices and a glut of adoptable wild and captive horses, our registered breeders have voiced their opinions of only breeding if there is a legal and binding contract between the owners and the buyer. This is one of ASHA's goals of "purposeful breeding". As much as we don't like to see the zillions of horses that are out there, time goes on and the breeding age of a mare or stallion may be passing by. In order to use these animals for purposeful breeding, we encourage breeders to only to stay within the strain of your horses, avoiding cross breeding, thus narrowing down the glut of unwanted horses. Both horses should have a current Veterinarian certificates: Coggins test, West Nile, etc... Click photos to enlarge photo.
